Former high school learner, now university student becomes constant fablab user.

Posted by: fabsosh on: March 23, 2009

Since its inception fabsosh has been conducting various community outreach programmes which includes hosting learners from local schools and universities.

Last year fablab continued with the programme a little bit different than previous years. Last year fablab targeted technical high schools learners and local university students who are doing electrical technology at a technical high school or electronics /electrical engineering at a university.

Something interesting happened, some of the former technical high school learners who took part at the fabsosh outreach programme last year, who are now enrolled at Tshwane University of Technology for electronics/electrical engineering are visiting fabsosh at constant basis. They use fablab tools/equipments to complete their practical projects (electronics). They also use the fablab as their source of information since they live far from libraries.

  • AVR Microcontroller Fan: I would advise you not to compare AVR microcontrollers with PICs or 8051. They all work fine depending on the project needs and other circumstances.
